Jason P Mooney Energy & Planning Consultants are a start up business aiming to offer something different. Jason P Mooney is based in Kildare and has a wide range of experience in the planning and construction sector. We move with the market so the green energy and Building Energy Rating sector are now a large part of our portfolio. The business model is to place emphasis on the client and eliminate the stress of achieving a grant of planning permission. As a start up business in a changing business climate we are fully aware of the need to offer a lot more for less. The aim is to offer the client the highest level of service they expect. In whatever service we provide , the same business model applies which is the client comes first.

We have worked with planning permission applications in Kildare County Council, Naas Town Council, Offaly County Council, Laois County Council, Wicklow County Council, Meath County Council, Carlow County Council and most County Councils and Town Councils within the Leinster and Dublin area.

Planning Application/Planning Searches/ Planning Submissions
We develop your initial ideas into the house that will meet your needs. We then attach all relevant documents for a full planning application which is then ready for submission to the County Council or Town Council. The drawings are prepared to full planning permission specification and with reference to the relevant county development plan we will advise the client of requirements to assist the grant of planning permission. We will work to maximise your sites natural potential through shading and sun orientation.

Home Energy Assessment/ Renewable Technologies
Home running costs are increasingly in the spot light due to the increase in running costs and decreasing fossil fuels. We can advise on the renewable technology that best suits your house and site needs. We can carry out simple energy evaluations on your homes performance and advise on improvements and their cost. Our advice on renewable technologies will be based on its effectiveness for you and not based on the sale of any renewable product.

Building Energy Rating Registered BER Assessor
We provide Building Energy Rating Certificate (BER Certs) for new and existing dwellings. We are registered by SEAI (Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland) A BER certificate and advisory report is mandatory for all homes for rent or sale. It indicates that homes performance and compliance with Building Regulations Part L.

Grant Assistance/ Advice
We will advise on the availability of grant assistance for renewable technologies and home improvements. At present there is grant assistance for renewable technologies for existing homes. There is also grant assistance for small home improvements to existing homes under the HES Scheme. When applying under this scheme from 8th June 2010, a BER Certificate will be mandatory to demonstrate the homes energy performance improvements.

Attic Conversions/ Extensions
If you wish to develop the home you have by constructing an extension or converting an attic space. We will develop your home extension in accordance with applicable regulations. In the case of attic conversions it is important that the conversion meets all fire safety provisions. In some cases extensions or attic conversions may not need planning permissions.

Construction Management/ Build Supervision/ Certification
If you wish to build your home yourself you may need build supervision. We can manage the project from start to finish or indeed from planning stage to finish. We can also provide the necessary certification for your mortgage needs.

Land Registry Transfers/ Certification
We prepare maps in the approved PRA (Property Registration Authority) format for transfer and certification. We can also search land plots or property that you may need information on.
